APHC-AJK slams India’s BJP regime for hurting Muslims’ religious sentiments
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has strongly condemned the blasphemous and inflammatory statements made by a Hindu priest, Narsinghanand, terming them a grave offense against Muslims worldwide.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and other leaders including Advocate Parvez Ahmed and Mashatq Ahmed Butt in a joint statement, expressed deep concern and dismay, stating that such remarks have severely hurt the sentiments of Muslims globally.
The statement emphasized that Muslims hold the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the highest esteem, even above their parents, children, and own lives. Therefore, no Muslim can tolerate such blasphemous remarks.
The leaders further said that the India’s BJP regime and its followers are consistently targeting Muslims’ religious sentiments, creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity for minorities.
Narsinghanand’s statements were labeled as a manifestation of Islamophobia.
The APHC-AJK urged the international community to pressure India to safeguard the religious, political, fundamental, and social rights of all minorities in India.
