BJP’s development claims fall flat as its IIOJK chief suffers electoral defeat
Jammu, October 8 (KMS): Despite the BJP’s lofty claims of transformative development and improved livelihoods in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the party’s chief in the territory, Ravinder Raina, suffered a notable defeat in the sham assembly elections.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ravinder Raina lost the Nowhsera Assembly constituency to National Conference candidate Surinder Kumar Choudhary by a margin of 7,819 votes.
The results of the assembly elections held recently in IIOJK were announced today.
Election Commission of India data reveals that Raina received 27,250 votes, while Choudhary secured 35,069.
This defeat underscores a significant disconnect between the BJP’s assertions of progress and the electorate’s sentiments.
