Hoax bomb threats hit CRPF schools across India

New Delhi: Multiple schools affiliated with Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) across India received hoax bomb threats late Monday night.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the targeted schools include two in Delhi, located in Rohini and Dwarka, and one in Hyderabad.

The threats, communicated via email to school management, claimed a potential bomb blast would occur in classrooms at 11 am Tuesday. However, authorities have since deemed the threats as hoaxes.

This incident follows a blast outside a CRPF school in Delhi’s Rohini on Sunday, for which a pro-Khalistani group claimed responsibility. The blast damaged nearby buildings and vehicles but caused no injuries.

Delhi Police are investigating, reaching out to social media platforms and Telegram for information on the source of the threats.

This isn’t an isolated incident; over 90 domestic and international flights received bomb threats this week, mostly hoaxes. Top security officials, including Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Director General RS Bhatti and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) Director General Zulfiqar Hasan, met with Indian Home Secretary Govind Mohan to address these threats.
