Srinagar: The health of Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, is deteriorating as he entered the fifth day of a hunger strike in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, today.
According to Kashmir Media service, a statement from JKLF issued in Srinagar said, Muhammad Yasin Malik has refused all forms of sustenance, including food and water, as well as medical treatment.
Malik, currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, began his hunger strike to protest against the Indian government’s human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the prolonged detention of Kashmiri prisoners.
The JKLF leader’s health is deteriorating, but he remains resolute in his demands, which include the release of all political prisoners and an end to the oppressive policies of the Indian government in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
