Rally held to honour Jammu martyrs in Rawalakot
Rawalakot: A rally to commemorate the martyrs of the Jammu massacre was held in Khai Gala area of Rawalakot, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally was organized by Dr. Irfan Ashraf, founder of the ‘Haq Do Tehreek-e-Azad Kashmir’ movement, in which thousands of people participated. Sardar Qamar Rasheed, Sardar Zahid, Sardar Sarwar Sadozai, and others spoke at the event.
The speakers at the rally recounted the massacre of over 200,000 Kashmiris in the forests of Samba, where RSS extremists and Maharaja’s forces attacked those attempting to reach Pakistan.
The speakers underscored the need for people and government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to play its vital role in resolving the Kashmir dispute.
They noted that, even today, martyrs in IIOJK are buried in Pakistani flags.
The speakers praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in highlighting the Kashmir issue internationally, specifically mentioning Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s firm stance at the United Nations General Assembly, which boosted the morale of Kashmiris.
Participants were also raising pro freedom and pro Pakistan slogans.
