APHC pays tribute to Allama Iqbal (RA) on his birth anniversary
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has paid rich tribute to the Poet of the East, thinker and philosopher, Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA), on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rahid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, hailed Allama Iqbal (RA) for his steadfast support of the Kashmiri people’s struggle against the Dogra regime. He highlighted that Iqbal’s poetry was a source of immense inspiration for the Kashmiris, encouraging them to rise up against tyranny and oppression. The spokesman emphasized that the Muslim Ummah will forever honor Allama Iqbal for the guidance he provided to Muslims through his powerful and thought-provoking poetry.
Advocate Minhas also reminded that it was Allama Iqbal (RA), who, during his historic 1930 speech at Allahabad, presented the vision of a separate homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent. This vision ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan, and for this reason, Allama Iqbal is fondly referred to as the “Musavvir-e-Pakistan” (the Creator of Pakistan).
The APHC spokesman reaffirmed that, in line with the Two-Nation Theory, the Muslim-majority state of Jammu and Kashmir was always intended to be an integral part of Pakistan. However, he noted, India, through a well-coordinated conspiracy, illegally occupied a significant portion of the region.
He further stated that for the past 77 years, the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been making tremendous sacrifices in their quest for freedom from Indian occupation and in their determination to join Pakistan. “Despite the brutal oppression they have faced at the hands of Indian forces, the Kashmiris remain resolute in their commitment to achieve their rightful goal”.
Meanwhile, APHC leaders, including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zamrooda Habib, Fareeda Behanji, Yasmeen Raja, Syed Bashir Indrabi, Khwaja Firdous, Fayaz Hussain Jaferi, Adv Arshad Iqbal, Maulana Musaib Nadvi and others, along with Hurriyat organizations like Jammu Kashmir Tehreek-e-Hurriyet and Jammu Kashmir Muslim League, in their separate statements issued in Srinagar, said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA) had been a staunch supporter of the Kashmiri struggle for justice and freedom. They maintained that Allama Iqbal’s poetic works have continued to serve as a source of strength and resilience for Kashmiris in their fight against Indian oppression. His words continue to reverberate in the hearts of Kashmiris, motivating them to uphold their rights and resist injustice, they added.
Additionally, APHC-AJK chapter Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Shameema Shawl, and several other leaders also paid heartfelt homage to Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA) on his birth anniversary, honoring his legacy and contributions to the Kashmir cause.
