APHC-AJK remembers APS attack victims on sombre anniversary
Islamabad: On the 10th anniversary of the tragic attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, All Parties Hurriyat Conference-AJK (APHC-AJK) leaders have paid glowing tribute to the innocent children and teachers who lost their lives in the attack.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK leaders including Convener Ghulam Mohammad Sufi, General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmad, and Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt in a joint statement issued in Islamabad condemned the perpetrators of the heinous attack, calling them terrorists and enemies of humanity.
The leaders expressed deep sorrow over the brutal and heart-wrenching assault in which young children and teachers were mercilessly killed. “This was one of the darkest chapters in history,” they said, highlighting that the attack not only shook Pakistan but sent shockwaves across the world, leaving nations with a deep sense of grief and mourning.
The Hurriyat leaders further stated, “Murder is already a grave crime, but according to the Holy Quran, the killing of one innocent soul is equivalent to the killing of all humanity.” They expressed the profound tragedy of the innocent children, who were simply striving to brighten their future and bring light to their communities. “These angels had no fault; they were sent to school by their mothers with dreams of a better tomorrow,” they said.
The leaders emphasized that this tragedy was not limited to one city, nation, or community but was a loss for all of humanity.
On this solemn occasion, the APHC leaders conveyed their condolences to the families of the martyrs and reiterated their support for them in their grief. They prayed for Pakistan’s safety and prosperity, asking Allah to protect the country from both internal and external enemies so that it may continue to grow and fulfill the purpose for which it was created.
