Ch. Ghulam Abbas remembered as beacon of Kashmir’s freedom struggle
Islamabad, December 18 (KMS): The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, has paid glowing tributes to Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas on his 57th death anniversary, lauding his pivotal role and sacrifices in the Kashmir freedom movement.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, in a statement issued in Islamabad, described Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas as a visionary leader and a dedicated advocate of Kashmir’s liberation. He highlighted Abbas’s immense contributions to the freedom movement, including his numerous arrests during the oppressive Dogra regime.
Safi emphasized that from his youth, Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas had actively resisted the tyranny of both British and Dogra rulers, striving for the emancipation of Muslims in the Indian subcontinent and particularly in Jammu and Kashmir. “He will always be remembered as a shining star of Kashmir’s freedom struggle,” Safi remarked.
