APHC-AJK condemns Babri Masjid’s demolition by Hindu extremists in India 32 years ago

Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has strongly condemned the demolition of the Babri Masjid by the extremist agitators of the Indian ruling party BJP, RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad 32 years ago.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK chapter Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and other leaders, including Pervaiz Ahmed and Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, in their statements issued in Islamabad said the demolition of the Babri Masjid and the construction of a Hindu temple in its place have hurt the sentiments of millions of Muslims around the world.

They also strongly denounced the demolition of Babri Masjid and the recent conspiracies of Hindu extremists to make other historic mosques in India. The Indian ruling party, BJP, is following a fascist ideology that is seeking to make India a Hindu state, Hurriyat leaders added.

They said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has massacred Muslims in Gujarat. They said since the BJP came to power in India, the lives of all minorities in India, especially Muslims, have been made miserable. The massacre of Muslims is going on and their mosques are being martyred.

The APHC-AJK leaders expressed concern that the BJP was issuing domicile certificates of Kashmir to non-Kashmiri Hindus in addition to killing Kashmiris to convert the Muslim majority identity of occupied Kashmir into a minority.

They also appealed to the United Nations, the Islamic world, and human rights organizations to play their role in ensuring the protection of the lives, property, honour, and places of worship of Muslims and Kashmiris in India.
