Srinagar: On the International Day of Genocide Prevention, global concerns have intensified over the imminent threat of genocide facing Muslims in India and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashmir Media Service reported that while the United Nations marks this day to uphold the Genocide Convention, Hindutva leaders openly advocate for the mass extermination of Muslims in India and occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Hate crimes and systemic violence against Muslims have surged under the Modi regime, making India increasingly dangerous for the minority community.
International genocide experts, including Gregory Stanton, founder of Genocide Watch, have repeatedly warned that India is in advanced stages of preparing for a Muslim genocide. Stanton noted that the persecution and dehumanization of Muslims in India and IIOJK are alarming precursors to a potential massacre.
Organizations like Genocide Watch have called on the international community to urgently act, recognizing the looming danger and holding India accountable. The UN and global human rights bodies are urged to intervene and ensure the safety of Muslims in India and IIOJK, advocating for an end to the systematic targeting and genocide preparation against the minority.
The report emphasized the need for unequivocal international demands for India to halt its trajectory towards genocide.
