Attendance of govt employees in R-Day celebrations in Srinagar mandatory

Srinagar: The authorities in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, have made it mandatory for all government employees to attend the Republic Day celebrations at Bakshi Stadium on January 26.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an order issued by Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar said all Heads of Departments, district officers and their subordinate staff are required to attend the event as part of their official responsibilities.

The order further directs each department to nominate a senior officer to monitor and record attendance at the event. These attendance records must then be submitted to the Nodal Officer, Yamin-ul-Nabi, Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety, who has been designated as the District Level Nodal Officer (Attendance).

“It is reiterated that presence at the Republic Day function is treated as an official duty, and failure to comply will be construed as a violation of government instructions and official responsibilities,” the order reads.
