Shiv Sena demands end to LG rule, restoration of statehood in IIOJK

Jammu: The Shiv Sena’s Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir unit has called for an end to the Lieutenant Governor’s rule and the restoration of IIOJK’s statehood, asserting that the police force should be placed under the territory government’s authority with full accountability.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a program at the party’s central office in Jammu, Shiv Sena IIOJK chief Manish Sahni criticized the dual power structure in the occupied territory, stating that it disproportionately impacts the Jammu region.

In a previous video interview, Sahni had said that the revocation of Article 370 by the Modi regime was a wrong decision, adding, “I have been fighting for the return of my state, my Articles 370 and 35A.”

He also acknowledged the surge in pro-freedom activities in Jammu, stating that eight out of ten districts witnessed attacks in 2024, refuting the Modi regime’s claims of normalcy following the revocation of Article 370 in 2019.
