Preparations for Kashmir Solidarity Day in full swing across Pakistan, AJK

Muzaffarabad: Preparations for Kashmir Solidarity Day, scheduled for February 5, are in full swing across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as people gear up to express unwavering solidarity with their oppressed brethren in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, political parties, activists, and the general public have committed to continuing their full support for the Kashmiris’ legitimate right to self-determination that has been denied by India for the past 78 years.
This year’s observance comes at a particularly difficult time, with the situation in IIOJK remaining dire following India’s unilateral and unlawful revocation of the territory’s special status on August 5, 2019. What was once a thriving land of culture and life has now been turned into the world’s largest prison, where thousands of innocent Kashmiris remain incarcerated for peacefully protesting against the Indian occupation.
Final preparations are underway to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day with the traditional zeal and fervor that marks this significant occasion. February 5 will be declared a state holiday across Pakistan and AJK, as the people and governments of both regions come together to reaffirm their deep-rooted love and unwavering commitment to the people of IIOJK. This annual observance not only expresses solidarity with the Kashmiri people but also reaffirms their resolute support for Kashmiris’ inalienable right to freedom.
The day will begin with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir, the success of their ongoing struggle, and the expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Mass rallies, symposia, peace walks, conventions, and speech competitions will be held across Pakistan, Azad Kashmir, and abroad to highlight the importance of Kashmir’s freedom.
In addition, several religious and political parties have vowed to participate in rallies and demonstrations, ensuring the global spotlight remains on the plight of Kashmiris under Indian occupation.
Meanwhile, posters have been displayed across Srinagar and other districts of the occupied Kashmir Valley, expressing gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for their steadfast solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people, who continue to endure the worst forms of Indian state terrorism in IIOJK. These posters have appeared ahead of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
