Fight to be intensified for IIOJK Statehood restoration: Karra
Srinagar: President of the Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Tariq Hameed Karra has asserted that the Congress party will continue its fight for the full restoration of Statehood, along with constitutional guarantees.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Karra made these remarks during a review meeting with party functionaries in Srinagar. He emphasized that the JKPCC will remain steadfast in its struggle for the rights of the people of IIOJK. He further stated that the Congress party will not rest until India fulfills its commitment of restoring Statehood to the territory, as promised earlier.
Karra also criticized the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that they have led to serious setbacks for IIOJK on various fronts. He added that under the current dispensation, the territory has suffered economically, politically, and socially, and the Congress party will continue to highlight these issues and fight for the restoration of the territory’s constitutional status.
