Two Indian troops killed, one injured in Jammu blast
Jammu: At least two Indian troops, including an officer, were killed and another seriously injured in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the blast occurred when an improvised explosive device (IED), believed to have been planted by Kashmiri freedom fighters, exploded during an Indian army patrol in the Akhnoor sector of the district on Tuesday.
An Indian army spokesperson confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the army patrol in the Laleeli area of Akhnoor sector was hit by the landmine, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers and leaving one critically injured. The spokesperson further stated that the army has cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
