Woman raped inside bus at Pune station in Maharashtra
Pune: A 26-year-old woman was raped inside a state transport bus at the busy Swargate bus station in Pune by a man, who is now on the run, police said.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the tragic incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday, prompting multiple police teams to launch a manhunt for the accused.
As the opposition targeted the Home Department, headed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, over the shocking crime, the government ordered the replacement of all private security guards at the bus station.
The incident has raised serious concerns over women’s safety in public places, with demands for stricter security measures and accountability from the authorities.
