Tara Chand seeks restoration of statehood for IIOJK, slams BJP’s betrayal
Jammu: Tara Chand, the working president of the Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has demanded the restoration of statehood along with job and land rights for local Kashmiris.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Tara Chand, while addressing the press in Jammu, stated that the BJP had promised the restoration of statehood and the constitutional safeguards for job and land in IIOJK. However, he added, the saffron party is deliberately using delaying tactics, betraying the people of the occupied territory.
He further emphasized that all political parties have made hollow promises to the people during elections, but once in power, they have failed to take any action to fulfill those promises, leaving the general public to face immense hardships.
Chand also demanded ownership rights for local people who have been cultivating land for many years, asserting that the land rightfully belongs to those who have been working on it.
