Abdul Rashid Turabi exposes Modi’s Kashmir agenda at Jeddah event

Jeddah: Advisor on Kashmir Affairs to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Abdul Rashid Turabi has criticized India’s illegal actions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019, aimed at changing the demography of the territory including land seizures and dismissal of Kashmiri Muslim employees from government jobs.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing an iftar dinner hosted by the President of Jammu and Kashmir Overseas Coordination Council, Engineer Arif Mughal in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Turabi briefed attendees on the latest situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He exposed Modi’s agenda against Kashmir, Pakistan, and the Muslim world, highlighting the deteriorating human rights conditions globally, from Israeli brutality in Gaza to the Indian government’s repression in Kashmir.

He urged the international community and the UN to intervene and halt these violations.

The event was attended by community leaders, including Masood Puri, Raja Riaz and Sardar Iqbal.

He also called on overseas Kashmiris to transcend political affiliations and actively support the right to self-determination. Praising the Kashmiri community’s lobbying efforts in Jeddah’s diplomatic circles and the OIC, he emphasized the importance of intensifying these initiatives to advocate for the oppressed people of Kashmir.
