Indian troops arrest Kashmiri youth in Kupwara
Srinagar: Indian troops during a cordon and search operation arrested a Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth was detained in the Chowkibal, Kralpora area of the district and has been identified as Wali Mohammad Mir, a resident of Marsary.
An official claimed that weapons were recovered from his possession, adding that further investigation by police is in progress. Such claims are often used by Indian authorities to falsely implicate Kashmiri youth under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
