SSB sub-inspector commits suicide in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: A sub-inspector of India’s paramilitary force, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), committed suicide in BJP ruled Uttar Pradesh state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased, identified as 57-year-old Narendra Singh, reportedly shot himself with his service weapon at the Roshan Garh outpost near the Nepal border in Shravasti district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Shravasti, Ghanshyam Chaurasia said that Narendra Singh was found inside his barracks with a gunshot wound to his chest and was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The service carbine was recovered near his body, but no suicide note was found, the officer added.
