India’s brutal CASOs continue unabated for 7th day in Kulgam
Gunship helicopters, drones used to terrorize civilian population
Srinagar: Cordon and search operations (CASOs) by Indian troops continued for the seventh straight day in Kulgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, plunging the territory into fear and disruption.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation remains intensified in the Akhal area and adjoining localities, with Indian troops using heavy weaponry, aerial surveillance, and gunship helicopters to locate mujahideen in the forested terrain.
A senior police officer in south Kashmir confirmed the ongoing operation, saying, “We have intensified aerial surveillance in the area using all means, including drones and gunship helicopters.” Eyewitnesses reported continuous firing and loud blasts echoing from the forest area, creating panic among residents.
Drones have been deployed to trace alleged militants, while senior officers of the Indian Army, paramilitary forces, and police are directly overseeing the operation.
Local residents have expressed deep concern over the prolonged siege and harassment, which have become a routine feature of life under occupation in IIOJK.
