Indian defence analyst exposes Indian Air Chief’s claims of downing Pakistani jets

New Delhi: Noted Indian defence analyst, Pravin Sawhney, has debunked the Indian Air Chief’s recent claims of destroying Pakistani aircraft during the latest conflict.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Pravin Sawhney in an interview to local news outlet expressed astonishment over his own government’s assertions and raised serious questions about their credibility. Drawing upon his experience, observations, and authentic information, he questioned why, if a Pakistani F-16 had indeed been shot down, the claim was not made public for three months.

Sawhney pointed out that if India had targeted Pakistani aircraft either in the air or on the ground in hangars, the entire world would have known. He challenged the Indian Air Chief’s statement, asking where the destroyed aircraft were, where the debris was, and whether there was any photographic, video, or satellite imagery evidence to support the claims.

He noted that the statement remained confined to speeches and was never presented in a major press conference, where evidence would have been required. Sawhney maintained that the reality was clear — the Indian Air Chief’s claims were dubious and far from the truth.

It is pertinent to mention that Indian Air Chief A.P. Singh had claimed to have destroyed six aircraft, including five Pakistani fighter jets, during the four-day conflict three months ago. However, the baseless assertion has brought embarrassment to the Modi regime worldwide and has even been criticised within India.
