Yasin Malik’s daughter seeks international help against father’s sentence
Rawalpindi: Razia Sultan, the 13-year-old daughter of Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, has appealed to the international community to intervene immediately to save her father from being sentenced under political vendetta.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Razia Sultana, addressing world powers, including China and the US, and human rights organizations, pleaded for justice, saying that her father was being subjected to cruelty through a ‘kangaroo court’ by the Modi government by implicating him in fake cases.
She said Yasin Malik, a prominent voice of Kashmir’s struggle for right to self-determination, has been in the clutches of Indian authorities for a long time.
Her daughter’s emotional appeal highlights the harsh reality of his imprisonment where he faces the death penalty and the trial is widely considered unfair and non-transparent.
