Indian soldier killed in Ganderbal incident

Srinagar: An Indian soldier of 24 Rashtriya Rifles was killed in what is described as an accidental firing at Mansbal camp in Ganderbal district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the soldier identified as Constable Chotu Kumar, who was part of the Special Quick Action Team (QAT), was travelling in a military truck from Srinagar to Bandipora. Upon reaching the Mansbal camp, his service rifle (AK-47) reportedly went off
when he jumped from the vehicle. The bullet struck him below the chin, killing him on the spot.
The incident once again highlights the poor safety standards and lack of professionalism prevalent among Indian troops deployed in the occupied territory.
