VP election imposed as Dhankhar didn’t follow BJP’s diktats: Priyanka
Calls it fight between defenders and destroyers of Constitution
9New Delhi: Shiv Sena (UBT) Member of Parliament Priyanka Chaturvedi has said that the Vice Presidential election was “imposed” after Jagdeep Dhankhar was forced out of office for not toeing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s line.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Chaturvedi told reporters that the contest was not between the INDIA bloc and NDA but between those who defend the Constitution and those who undermine it.
The Vice President’s post fell vacant after Dhankhar resigned in July citing “health concerns,” though opposition leaders maintain he was pushed out for showing independence from the Modi regime.
