Indian army man killed in Udhampur attack
Jammu: An Indian army man was killed in an attack in Udhampur district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian army man was killed in an attack during a cordon and search operation in the Dudu Basantgarh area of the district.
The joint operation comprising personnel from the Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operations Group (SOG) was initiated in the area on Friday night.
Indian officials said that during the exchange of fire, one soldier sustained critical injuries and later succumbed. They further said that reinforcements, including drone surveillance units and sniffer dogs, have been deployed to the area.
The operation was underway when last reports were received.
