Two Indian army porters, army man died in IIOJK

Srinagar: Two Indian army porters and an Indian army man died in two separate places in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, two porters, who had slipped and fallen into a nallah while moving towards a forward post in the Upper Gulmarg area of Baramulla district, have been found dead, officials said today.

Officials said the incident occurred on Thursday evening, when the two porters, identified as Layakat Ahmad Deedard, 27, and Ishfaq Ahmad Khatana, 33, were en route to Anita Post, a winter cut off post due to heavy snowfall in the area. While negotiating the snowbound and slippery terrain, the porters reportedly lost balance and fell into a nallah.

Meanwhile, an Indian army man, identified as Hira Lal, died after slipping and falling from a height while proceeding for night patrolling duty at Sheeri area of Baramulla district.

Indian officials said the soldier accidentally slipped and fell from a height, following which he was found unconscious and immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla. However, doctors at the hospital declared him dead.
