Police constable dies of heart attack in Srinagar

Srinagar: A police constable died after suffering a massive heart attack in Srinagar city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a police constable died after suffering a massive heart attack in Police Station Pantha Chowk area of the city on Monday.

An official said that the deceased has been identified as Constable Nayeem Ahmad Sheikh, 39, a resident of Tangdar Karnah in Kupwara district.

He said Sheikh collapsed at the police station and died on the spot. His body was later shifted to Police Hospital Srinagar for medico-legal examination and other formalities.

Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated.
