Book on Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA)’s poetry ‘Sehzanand’ released in Srinagar

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a book titled “Sehzanand” illustrating the verses of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) in Urdu and English was released at a function organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with Kashmir Markaz Adab-o-Saqafat at Tagore Hall in Srinagar.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the book, authored by Dr Gazanfar Ali and Inayat Gul from Charar-e-Sharief, explains 106 verses of Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Wali (RA) to promote his message of humanity, brotherhood, and spiritual purity among non-Kashmiri readers.

The event was presided over by noted scholar Prof Shafi Shouq, while prominent writers including Prof Farooq Fayaz, Dr Rafiq Masoodi, Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem, Prof Shafqat Altaf, and Mufti Shafiq-ul-Rehman shared the presidium.

Speakers highlighted various aspects of Sheikh-ul-Alam’s life and philosophy, stressing the need to preserve Kashmir’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
