India’s false propaganda over Pak-Afghan tensions exposed
AI-generated fake videos, photos used to malign Pakistan

Islamabad: Amid tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, India’s propaganda machinery has once again been exposed for spreading fabricated content and disinformation targeting Pakistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian media outlets have launched a malicious campaign using artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake videos and images in an attempt to malign Pakistan.
In one such instance, Indian TV channels falsely portrayed a North Waziristan resident, Adil Dawar, as a Pakistan Army officer allegedly killed during an operation along the Pak-Afghan border. However, Dawar himself released a video statement debunking the claim, saying, “My name is Adil Dawar, and I am a political and social activist from North Waziristan. Indian media used an AI-generated photo of me and falsely presented me as a military major. I am an ordinary citizen.”
Dawar denounced the baseless propaganda, calling it a blatant violation of journalistic ethics.
Experts have noted that India’s pliant media has a long history of spreading false narratives through fake news and “false flag” operations—such as those surrounding the Pulwama and Pahalgam incidents—to defame Pakistan at the international level.
The latest episode, they said, once again exposes India’s systematic disinformation campaigns aimed at misleading the global community and diverting attention from its own internal and regional failures.
