Kashmiris and Pakistan are one soul in two bodies: Bakhtiar Ali Sial

Lahore: Renowned legal expert, intellectual, and former Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge, Bakhtiar Ali Sial Advocate, expressed unwavering solidarity with the Kashmir freedom movement, declaring that Kashmiris and Pakistan are one soul in two bodies.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking during his visit to the Kashmir Center Lahore, Bakhtiar Ali Sial emphasized that the bond between the two can never be broken, with Pakistan continuously extending moral, diplomatic, and political support to the people of Kashmir. During the visit, Sial met with the Center’s In-charge, Inam-ul-Hassan. The meeting also saw the participation of prominent intellectual and writer, Nazar Bhindar.

Bakhtiar Ali Sial strongly condemned India’s ongoing proxy war efforts to destabilize Azad Kashmir, particularly its targeting of Pakistan, aimed at diverting global attention from the severe human rights violations occurring in Indian illegallyoccupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He stated that despite these efforts, India has failed to achieve its objectives, while the devotion of Kashmiris to Pakistan remains as resolute as ever.

He reiterated the words of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who had declared Kashmir as the “jugular vein” of Pakistan. “The Kashmiris consider Pakistan sacred, and their ultimate and only destination is Pakistan,” said Sial.

He stressed that peace in South Asia and beyond is inextricably linked to the resolution of the Kashmir issue, which remains a primary dispute between two nuclear powers. He reiterated that the only viable solution to the Kashmir dispute lies in holding a free and fair plebiscite in line with United Nations resolutions. He also condemned India’s attempts to alter the demographic composition of IIOJK by settling non-local Hindus in the occupied territory.

Bakhtiar Ali Sial urged Pakistan to raise its voice more forcefully on the international stage against India’s unlawful actions in Kashmir.

Inam-ul-Hassan, the Kashmir Center Lahore In-charge, also shared updates on the Center’s initiatives. He informed that the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell has been actively engaged in raising global awareness about Kashmir’s plight through protests, rallies, seminars, and conferences. The Cell also works to educate the youth through speech and quiz competitions in educational institutions, as well as through research, writing, and publications.

At the end of the meeting, Bakhtiar Ali Sial was presented with the latest publication from the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell.
