Tension prevails after Dalit man beaten to death in Madhya Pradesh
Bhind (MP): Tension gripped Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district after a 35-year-old Dalit man was beaten to death by his neighbours following a dispute.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, identified as Rudra Pratap Singh Jatav, was attacked by a neighbouring family with whom he had an ongoing dispute. The situation in the village turned tense after the incident, prompting the authorities to deploy additional police forces, an official said.
The news of Jatav’s death sparked outrage in the area, as his relatives and other residents vandalised a house belonging to one of the accused and set fire to it, along with a car and a motorcycle parked outside.
