Pakistan Embassy in Beijing observes Kashmir Black Day

Beijing: The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing organized a solemn event to mark Kashmir Black Day, commemorating October 27, 1947 — the day when Indian forces illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in violation of the Partition Plan and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the event served as a powerful reminder of the grave injustice and ongoing suffering of Kashmiris living under India’s illegal occupation. Messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support to the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination, as guaranteed by United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The messages strongly condemned the persistent human rights abuses being committed by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK.
Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, underscored the historical significance of Kashmir Black Day and emphasized its role in raising global awareness about India’s continued defiance of international law. He appreciated China’s consistent support for the Kashmir cause and echoed Pakistan’s call for the early and peaceful resolution of the dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
Ambassador Hashmi stressed that resolving the Kashmir dispute is essential for lasting peace and stability in South Asia and beyond.
As part of the commemoration, a documentary highlighting the suffering of the Kashmiri people under Indian occupation was screened, followed by a photo exhibition portraying the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK.
