BJP obstructing development in IIOJK, says deputy CM Surinder Choudhary

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of deliberately hindering development projects in various parts of the territory to sabotage the ongoing welfare initiatives of the Omar Abdullah-led government.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing several public gatherings in his native area of Nowshera, Rajouri, Choudhary said the National Conference (NC) government is striving to bridge the development gap across the region, but the BJP is creating unnecessary hurdles to deprive people of progress and basic facilities.

He alleged that in his home constituency of Nowshera in the Rajouri district, BJP leaders have been stalling public development projects under one pretext or another and, in some cases, even resorting to court actions to delay their execution.

Chief Minister said, “We can leave the government, but we will never align with the BJP,” emphasizing that political power must serve the people, not partisan interests.
