India’s ruling BJP continuously evading accountability for serious security failures in the country
New Delhi: India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is continuously evading accountability for serious security failures in the country.
According to Kashmir Media Service, whenever there is a major attack in India, the BJP government immediately blames Pakistan or the oppressed Kashmiris for it, but no internal investigation or reforms are ever initiated on security failures.
Serious security failures in Pahalgam in April this year and in New Delhi on November 10 led to the loss of many lives, but neither the Indian Home Minister resigned nor was any other government official held accountable. Twenty six tourists were killed in Pahalgam, while 15 people were killed in a blast near the Red Fort in New Delhi on November 10.
Opposition leader Akhilesh Yadavand the Indian National Congress have strongly criticized the Modi government for security failures in the Red Fort blast, asking how this incident happened again? After the Pahalgam false flag, the Modi government launched air strikes on Pakistan in the name of Operation Sindoor to save face among its people, but the investigation into the incident did not yield any results and there are no answers to the important questions raised about the attack.
The BJP fears that admitting mistakes will expose its “tough security” narrative to the public. Indian security agencies, including National Investigation Agency (NIA), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and the police have consistently failed to secure the country due to inadequate resources and manpower. The NIA has only 1,200 officers across India, which seems completely incapable of dealing with terrorism.
On social media, people are expressing serious concerns over the Modi government’s security failures. Despite the Modi government spending billions of rupees on security and surveillance systems, the result is zero and the people are paying the price of the government’s failures with their lives.
The Modi government has invested heavily in facial recognition technology NATGRID and the purchase of AI drones for occupied Jammu and Kashmir. However, how did the alleged attackers in Pahalgam reach the heavily guarded tourist spot with drones? The blast at the Red Fort in the capital New Delhi took place in a place that is the most secure area and where there are a large number of cameras. But still the terrorists could not be traced.
After the Delhi blast, the Modi government claimed to have recovered 2,900 kg of explosives and AK-47 rifles in Faridabad, but no Indian security agency could find information about the presence of such a large quantity of explosives. No inquiry or reforms were carried out after a report in July this year revealed that terrorists hide with the help of encrypted apps and local sympathizers.
Bribery and corruption are rampant in Modi’s India. Terrorists and criminals, travelling on fake passports, expose massive corruption in immigration.
Funding of resistance movements through Hawala and crypto currency is increasing exponentially in India, but the government has consistently failed to take any effective action against it. Due to the lack of a complete investigation into the illegal funding of explosives in the Faridabad case, it is becoming difficult to trace the financial support of terrorists.
The Explosives Act 1884 is still in force in India, but there is no modern tracking system for explosives like ammonium nitrate and gelatin sticks, which is contrary to the claims of Shining India.
The investigation of any incident is never completed in India and the affected families continue to stumble and stumble in their quest for justice. The investigation into the Pahalgam attack has not been completed even after eight months.
There is a power struggle between the NIA and the Delhi Police in the investigation into the Red Fort blast, due to which the investigation is slow. The failure to complete the investigations into the five major incidents in India, Pulwama in 2019, Manipur in 2023 and New Delhi in 2025, is clear evidence of the failure of the Modi government. Initial reports by the Modi government and security agencies reject foreign involvement, but later the blame is put on Pakistan.
The human rights groups have warned that the Modi government is constantly trying to divert attention from its failures by exacerbating sectarianism and religious divisions.
After each attack, the government starts singing its routine tune and the responsibility for each attack is placed on Pakistan, but the truth is never revealed to the people.
Amit Shah had claimed in July this year that occupied Kashmir was being cleared of militancy. However, he did not resign four months later over the security failure in the Red Fort blast.
The BJP government’s failures and avoidance of accountability highlight the dire security situation in India. People’s lives are at risk, but the Modi government is busy spreading political and religious propaganda to divert attention from internal problems.
