Case registered against Idarah Fallah-u-Darain in Baramulla

Police raids and interrogations target local Muslim association

Srinagar: Indian police registered a case against the local Muslim association Idarah Fallah-u-Darain under a draconian law at Baramulla police station in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the case was filed following unverified allegations of “unlawful activities” against the organization. Police have conducted multiple coordinated raids at premises linked to the association and interrogated several individuals associated with it.

A police statement said the investigation is ongoing and “further appropriate legal action will be taken based on findings during inquiry.” However, locals condemned the move as part of India’s systematic efforts to intimidate and suppress peaceful Muslim organizations.

Human rights defenders say that such actions are frequently used to stifle community initiatives, spread fear among civilian populations, and undermine civil liberties in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
