Field Marshal Asim Munir greeted on becoming CDF

Islamabad: Mushaal Mullick, wife of illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, has congratulated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on becoming Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and said his appointment is welcome for Pakistan and the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mushaal Mullick in a statement issued in Islamabad said Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s strategy against Indian aggression increased the morale of Kashmiris. Under his leadership, Pakistan’s defence became stronger and Pakistan’s prestige increased at the global level, she added.

While welcoming the appointment of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as CDF, she expressed the hope that the coordination of the armed, naval and air forces would be further strengthened. She said the Kashmiri people salute the sacrifices of the Pakistan forces.

Meanwhile, former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq in his statement also greeted Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his appointment as the country’s first Chief of Defence Forces. He said the nation is proud of the courage and bravery of the Field Marshal.

He said under the leadership of Syed Asim Munir, the armed forces have made Pakistan famous at the global level. His appointment as Chief of Defence Forces is welcome and a reflection of his leadership skills, he remarked.

During the war with India, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir took very bold decisions and under his command, the Pakistan Army gave a befitting reply to Indian aggression, he maintained.
