“White-Collar state terrorism”: International webinar condemns India’s crackdown on doctors, lawyers in IIOJK

London: In a powerful virtual gathering marking International Human Rights Day, Kashmir Media Service (KMS) hosted a Zoom webinar in collaboration with KNews HD, spotlighting India’s escalating repression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The event, themed “White-Collar State Terrorism in IIOJK: India’s Systematic Attack on Doctors, Scholars, Lawyers and Civil Society Under RSS-BJP Rule,” drew attention to targeted crackdowns on professionals amid recent alleged false flag operations in India.

The webinar featured a diverse panel of diaspora leaders, politicians, and activists from Pakistan, the UK, US, Spain, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Participants included Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi from Islamabad, who tied the Kashmir cause to Pakistan’s founding ideology and expressed hope for impending freedom; Swarnjit Singh, Mayor of Norwich, Connecticut, who condemned violations worldwide from a Sikh perspective and offered support; Councillor M. Fazil Khan from the UK, who urged unified global advocacy focused on self-determination; and Shaikh Abdul Mateen, former APHC Secretary General, who highlighted extreme militarization and compared India’s actions to those in Palestine.

Speakers unanimously described “white-collar” violations as a deliberate strategy to silence educated voices, enforce disappearances, and erode society, urging the diaspora to amplify the call for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and an end to ongoing abuses.
