Snowfall blocks key routes in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar: Light to moderate snowfall in the higher reaches of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir led to the closure of the Mughal Road and Sinthan Top Road, disrupting alternative connectivity to the Kashmir Valley.

According to Kashmir Media Service, traffic was suspended on the Mughal Road, linking Poonch and Rajouri with Shopian, after more than three inches of snow accumulated at Peer Ki Gali. The Sinthan Top Road, connecting Kishtwar and Doda with Islamabad, was also closed as a precautionary measure following snowfall in upper areas.

Authorities advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel in snow-bound and landslide-prone areas and to follow weather advisories.
