Congress slams BJP over attacks on Christians, seeks Ankita murder probe

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal has denounced the Bharatiya Janata Party and its affiliates for orchestrating attacks on Christians across several states, citing a pattern of organized violence and administrative silence.

Accordng to Kashmir Media Service, Venugopal claimed the BJP has a “rabid hatred towards Christianity” and targets vulnerable individuals.

He cited incidents in BJP-ruled states like Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, alleging coordinated attacks with the ruling regime’s complicity. Venugopal also referenced an RSS attack on a children’s carol choir in Kerala’s Palakkad, exposing the BJP’s “true character”.

The Congress also demanded a CBI probe, monitored by an Indian Supreme Court judge, into Ankita Bhandari’s murder in Uttarakhand, following allegations involving a senior BJP leader.
