IIOJK health workers protest against authorities’ failure to address demands
Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, employees of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department on Monday held a protest demonstration against the authorities’ failure to address their long-pending demands.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the workers staged the protest at the office premises of the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Jal Bhawan Narwal, Jammu.
Workers leaders said the demonstration is aimed at registering strong resentment against the authorities, which they said has miserably failed to resolve the genuine issues of both permanent employees and daily wagers. They pointed out that key demands, including the regularisation of daily wagers and the holding of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings for promotions, have remained unresolved for a long time.
Senior leaders of the employees, including Rajesh Jamwal, Balwader Raj, Muhammad Mushtaq, Bakshi Singh, Subhash Verma and Kartar Chand Dubey participated in the protest.
