JKLF delegations urge international intervention to save Yasin Malik
Delegations take Kashmir cause to UK Parliament, global bodies

London/Brussels: A Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) delegation led by Prof. Zafar Khan met with Chairman of All Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir (APPGK) Imran Hussain in the UK, urging him to raise Muhammad Yasin Malik’s case with the British Government.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation apprised Hussain of the deteriorating human rights situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, expressing gratitude for his support for the Kashmir cause. They discussed human rights violations, Yasin Malik’s illegal incarceration, and the fake cases against him.
“Indian government is hell bent on hanging Mr. Malik under the pretext of concocted cases,” Prof. Zafar Khan said. Imran Hussain assured the delegation he would raise Yasin Malik’s case with the British Government.
The JKLF delegations expressed gratitude for Hussain’s advocacy for Kashmiri rights and parliamentary debate on Kashmir.
In Brussels, another JKLF delegation led by Zaheer Zahid submitted memos to the United Nations, European Union Human Rights Commission and Amnesty International, appealing for intervention to save Yasin Malik’s life.Zahid Iqbal and the President JKLF Belgium Branch Altaf Khan were the other two members of the delegation. The submitted memorandums entailed the brief history of Yasin Malik, fake cases filed against him and the unjust Indian court proceedings.
