Neglect of Chenab valley must end, Mehbooba tells occupation regime

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti has lamented the backwardness of Chenab Valley, demanding divisional status and improved connectivity to unlock the region’s potential.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a gathering in Doda, Mehbooba Mufti stressed the need for a High Court division bench, rail connectivity, and tunnels for all-weather access.
She highlighted the region’s tourism potential and called for sustainable development through the Doda Development Authority.
Mufti demanded a Cluster University, upgraded education and health facilities, a women’s degree college, and skill-based institutions. She advocated for transparent blue sapphire mining, saying it should be opened to the public under existing laws to benefit local communities.KMS-3K
