Indian opposition protests in parliament against ‘Modi’s surrender to Trump’

New Delhi: Indian opposition Members of Parliament staged a protest at the entrance to Parliament, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of failing to address the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the demonstration took place on the staircase of Makar Dwar during the second day of the resumed Budget Session.
The MPs, holding placards and banners, raised slogans against Modi and criticised the government’s handling of the situation in the region. One banner carried the message “PM is Compromised” and displayed photographs of Modi alongside US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Congress MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said the protest aimed to question the government’s stand on the issue and hold it accountable. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surrender before Donald Trump is a major compromise with the future of the country’s farmers, traders and youth,” Warring said.
The protest included several suspended MPs, who had been barred following disruptions in the House during the first phase of the session. KMS-4K
