No longer India’s PM, working for the US: Rahul Gandhi says ‘Modi has surrendered’

Lucknow: Indian National Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the latter has surrendered before the US.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing party workers at an event in Lucknow, UP, Gandhi said, “Narendra Modi is finished psychologically. He is no longer working as India’s PM. He is working for the US.’

“’Narendra Modi has compromised with the energy security of the country. America is deciding who we should buy oil from, the situation in the energy sector will deteriorate further,’’ the Congress leader said. He also said that the trade deal with the US was not in the interest of India.

He said that he wanted to raise this issue in the Parliament but he was not allowed to speak.

Rahul Gandhi said that Modi did not believe in the Constitution. ‘’Our Constitution contains our country’s thousands of years old ideology, it does not have Godse’s ideology…Gandhi, Ambedkar too faced difficulties but they were never compromised … .Modi is compromised…he is under US pressure,’’ he said.

Rahul also said that the Modi government was ignoring the interests of the Dalits and the OBCs and weaker sections of the society.

He also shared video footage of the event on the social media platform X, highlighting the treatment he received in Parliament. In his post, he wrote: “When I raised the issue that the Modi government has compromised India’s energy security in Parliament, the microphone was switched off. As soon as I mentioned Modi Ji’s name in connection with the Epstein files, my microphone was cut off again.”

Rahul Gandhi concluded his post with a strong remark: “Out of a hundred things, one that cannot be suppressed: Narendra Modi has surrendered.”
