IIOJK Congress presses for early restoration of statehood

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Congress has strongly demanded the restoration of statehood, while raising concerns over the ongoing LPG crisis and several other pressing issues in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to reporters in Jammu, Congress IIJK leader Ram Bhalla said the party urged the occupation administration to restore statehood at the earliest and highlighted the shortage of LPG cylinders affecting residents across the territory.

The Congress expressing concern over rising crime and drug abuse in Jammu, sought increased steps to tackle the situation. Bhalla demanded relief and rehabilitation for flood-affected families and additional funds for the urban development sector.

The issue of regularisation of daily wagers and other temporary and contractual employees was demanded.
