Posters in IIOJK praise steadfast resolve of Aasiya Andrabi, associates
Srinagar: Posters have surfaced across several areas in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), paying rich tribute to senior Hurriyat leader and Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Aasiya Andrabi and her associates for their steadfast courage and unwavering resolve.
According to Kashmir Media Service, posters displayed by various pro-freedom organizations on walls, poles, and pillars in Srinagar and other areas read, “The long and harsh sentences awarded to Aasiya Andrabi and her associates, Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi, in a fabricated case amount to nothing but a murder of justice. India cannot intimidate Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders through executions and life imprisonments. By sentencing women leaders in concocted cases, India had added yet another chapter to its record of repression. This represents a ruthless act of state terrorism under the cover of law. However, such tactics cannot break the resolve and determination of Aasiya Andrabi and her associates.”
Notably, a special court of India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently handed Aasiya Andrabi a life imprisonment in a politically motivated case, while her associates were sentenced to 30 years’ imprisonment each.
