Pakistan’s tireless diplomacy pulled world back from brink: Masarrat Aalam
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Masarrat Aalam But has termed the Iran–US talks held in Islamabad with Pakistan’s facilitation as a historic development.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Masarrat Aalam Butt in a special message from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail stated that they once again proved that long-standing disputes can only be resolved through dialogue rather than military force.
He praised Pakistan’s efforts in securing the ceasefire, saying the country’s political and military leadership, through tireless diplomacy, had pulled the world back from the brink of uncertainty and offered a renewed hope for peace and humanity.
Masarrat Aalam Butt said the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been demanding a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute and their birthright to self-determination for the past 78 years, but India continues to suppress their voices through military force instead of addressing their legitimate aspirations.
He urged the international community to take notice of India’s rigid approach and play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute to ensure lasting peace and stability in South Asia.
