Congress pushes for IIOJK statehood restoration under ‘Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq’ campaign
Srinagar: The Congress party is ramping up its efforts to restore full statehood to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the ‘Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq’ (Our State, Our Right) banner, with party’s IIOJK chapter president Tariq Hameed Karra labeling delay “unacceptable”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Tariq Hameed Karra at a party meeting in Srinagar emphasized the party’s commitment to fighting for the people’s rights and urged leaders to involve the public in the “Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq” movement.
Karra stated that people have high expectations from Congress, believing it’s capability to safeguard their rights and address genuine grievances.
The party’s review meeting, attended by coordinators and district presidents, aimed to boost grassroots activities and discuss the statehood issue. Karra assured that Congress is prepared to face challenges and is strong enough to overcome them politically.
