Maharashtra: Teacher Eligibility Test paper postponed after leak BJP breaking political parties: Opposition
Mumbai: The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 in the Indian state of Maharashtra has been postponed after a part of the question paper was leaked.
According to Kashmir Media Service, about six lakh candidates have been affected by this incident.
This is another major examination controversy after the NEET UG question paper was leaked in India last month, over which the opposition parties have severely criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party government.
Opposition leaders say that the government is breaking political parties instead of making the examination system transparent.
Police said they have arrested three people from Bhundi area of Thane district, who belong to Bihar and Haryana, and copies of the original TET question paper have been recovered from their possession.
The police said the arrested persons are affiliated with an inter-state gang. Education department officials have also confirmed that the question papers recovered from the arrested persons are the original papers of the test to be held on June 28.
A case has been registered against the arrested persons.
